FAQs

Is the ceremony and reception in the same place?

The ceremony will be held at the Chinese Garden of Friendship in Darling Harbour, and the reception at 12-Micron in Barangaroo.
The two venues are around a 20-minute walk apart, with a two-hour gap in between - plenty of time to stroll along the waterfront, take in the Sydney Harbour views, and perhaps grab an ice cream or a drink along the way.
We'd encourage you to make the most of it!

Wait, isn't this the same day as the NSW election?

Oh, we know. We booked our venues months before the government moved the election onto our wedding date (rude!).
If you can, we'd encourage you to vote early or by post in the weeks beforehand. If not, the two-hour gap between the ceremony and reception gives you ample time to find a polling booth - and let's be honest, voting in your wedding finery will be the most glamorous democracy has ever felt.
We'll have a list of the nearest polling places available on the day.

What's the best way to get there?

Both venues are easy to reach by public transport - we'd recommend leaving the car at home!
Ceremony - Chinese Garden of Friendship
Closest station: Town Hall (10-min walk) or Exhibition Centre light rail (5-min walk).

Reception - 12-Micron, Barangaroo
Closest stations: Wynyard train (4-min walk) or Barangaroo metro (8-min walk).
Driving? The nearest car park to the reception is Wilson Parking on Hickson Rd - you can book ahead here

Are kids invited?

Absolutely - little ones are more than welcome! We've kept the invites fairly loose on this one, so if you'd like to bring your kids along, please do. You know your children best, so we'll leave it to you to decide if they're up for a celebration.
Just give us a heads-up in your RSVP so we can make sure we have space for everyone!

What's the dress code?

Cocktail attire! We want to celebrate with everyone looking and feeling their best — so dig out your finest and come ready to dance the night away!

Should we bring a gift?

Your presence at our wedding is truly the best gift we could ask for! For those who'd like to give something more, we'll have a wishing well on the day — any contribution will go towards our honeymoon and help feed our shared love of travel. We kindly request no boxed gifts.

Will there be food catering to my diet?

Yes! We have delicious food options for all diets, please let us know any requirements when you RSVP. we will make sure you're well fed.
